Come visit the stunning Metropolitan Polo Club for an introduction into the world of Equestrian and Polo.

A coach will pick you up from outside the Tianjin Single Malt Club on Nanjing Rd, and while you have morning tea you will be given a short presentation by the Head of Polo, and former Australian Polo Captain, Derek Reid.

Then it will be off to get changed into boots and helmet as you will be given a 20 minute horse riding lesson. There will not be time to take off the helmet because as soon as you are off the horse, we will be heading into the indoor arena for a polo lesson.

Finally you will be given a stable tour of the facility before relaxing with an afternoon tea and complementary whisky before catching the bus home.

We got a lot of great feedback from the previous week, but nonetheless we had things we thought we could do better this time.

This time we doubled the time riding the horses to 20 minutes, and rather than having everybody waiting around while half their group was on the horses, we had an extra horse brought out with an instructor. This instructor then encouraged people to come and brush the horse, and taught everybody a bit about horse behaviour.

I took a bit of extra time to do some staged photos for everybody with the horses and saddles, and the horse and whisky.

The thing I love the most about these visits is the watching people have the opportunity to see and feel these magnificent animals up close. Derek is a great friend of ours, and we were very happy to help out with helping him to put on this event.
